According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is ready to sanction the sale of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old arrived the Santiago Bernabeu last summer for £35million from Chelsea, but has struggled to replicate the form that attracted the Spanish giants to him, leaking 42 goals in 32 appearances thus far.

Zidane is said to be keen on making Keylor Navas first-choice again, and the Colombian will be handed the No. 1 shirt again for next season.

The Frenchman will make 20-year-old Luca Zidane back-up shotstopper and won’t be making a move for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

The Spaniard has been on Madrid’s radar for a while and is stalling on extending his contract at Old Trafford, but Zidane isn’t keen on him and will now put his trust in Navas and his son.

The 32-year-old veteran helped Madrid to three consecutive Champions Leagues and a La Liga title under the Frenchman and has everything it takes to remain the key man in goal for the time being, and Zidane’s decision looks spot on given the goalie’s huge experience.
